How does your PianoCD work?
The PianoCD system is located out of sight, underneath the piano. An
ultra-thin control unit where you insert the CDs is visible on the
right-hand side just below the keyboard. You will also receive a
hand-held remote control so you can select the next song or adjust the
volume from the comfort of your lounge or dining room. The PianoCD
system is constructed using a combination of amazing mechanics and
sophisticated computer technology. It is an enhanced CD player control
unit, designed to transmit music and performance information to computer
driven solenoids concealed within the piano. Each solenoid is capable of
reproducing up to 127 different levels of expression.
Easy-to-use Control Unit
Developed exclusively by PianoDisc, the PianoCD control unit is a CPU
and CD player that reads specially encoded PianoDisc CDs and transmits
the performance information to the playback mechanism in your piano. The
control unit allows you to control various aspects of the performance,
including playback volume and, in the case of accompaniment-enhanced
disks, the volume balance between the piano and the pre-recorded
accompanying music.
Specially Recorded PianoDisc CDs
Using a format created by PianoDisc exclusively for the PianoCD
system, these remarkable CDs permanently store a wide variety of musical
performances, either for solo piano or for accompanied piano
performances (including live accompaniments), representing the state of
the art in acoustic/digital piano musical reproduction. PianoDisc supply
12 complimentary CDs with your PianoCD purchase. Additional CDs with the
auto-key playing function are available to purchase through your closest

Your PianoCD system can also be used as a standard CD player. It
easily connects to most home stereos and surround sound systems. The
PianoCD is equipped with a stereo headphone jack, enabling you to enjoy
standard CDs in complete privacy without disturbing others.
